Compensation Range:

You will work daily with our clients and be responsible for:
Contributing insightful, practical and meaningful information to support the client's behavior, mood and healing processRole-modeling appropriate and supportive behavior based on your training and experienceSupporting our clients in their journey to a healthier and more productive lifeThe MH Technician team is available to our clients on a twenty-four hour basis.
MH Technician I are often part of the client's major support system, and as such, derive great satisfaction from making a powerful difference in their lives.
MH Technician I manage crisis situations such as food refusal, emotional breakdowns and more.
Discovery Mood & Anxiety is open to ideas for connecting with our clients in new and innovative ways.
MH Technician I are empowered to be creative in their approach as personal strengths, skills and passions (e.
g.
yoga, art, hobbies) may be integrated into our program.
ResponsibilitiesGreeting new clients and introducing them to their primary treatment teamDetermining whether the new client has any special needs, communicating those needs to the treatment team and assisting in making sure the needs are metContributing to the well-being of all clients by serving as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate dress, grooming, communication and positive behavior in a professional, warm and caring mannerFacilitating the treatment plan set forth by the Therapist by providing day-to-day supportEngaging clients in therapeutic groups to promote coping skills, relapse prevention, DBT, education and life skillsParticipating in a weekly multi-disciplinary team meetingSharing vital information of the client's progress with the treatment teamUnderstanding and maintaining the confidential nature of all client and program related activitiesEating together during meal times to model positive dietary behaviorsMaintaining an inviting environment by ensuring the house is tidy and clean at all timesAssisting Therapists in the discharge process by helping the client transition homeAttending all training, education and staff enrichment activities; being familiar with the Philosophy, Mission and Objectives of Discovery Mood & Anxiety ProgramAvailable Shifts:

QualificationsBachelor's degree (B.
A.
) from four-year college or university preferredCADC license preferredOne year experience working with children, mental health, counseling, or eating disorders field preferredKnowledge of drug and alcohol dependency and mental health issues; previous work experience preferred.
Must attend all training, education, and staff enrichment activitiesThis includes monthly on line trainings, in person trainings and trainings as assigned.
