Responsibilities include reviewing requisitions for completeness, initiating purchase orders, preparing bid requests and negotiating purchases within budgetary limitations and scope of authority, and seeking the best possible vendors.
Also responsible for maintaining logs and documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities Processes requisitions for purchases as directed within 1 business day.
Conducts interviews with sales representatives to determine vendor's qualifications and pricing trends.
Expedites all purchase orders.
Meets with departments on a weekly basis, for product, vendor and service level standards.
Serves as an advisor to departments in obtaining proper specifications, quotations, delivery times and costs.
Works through, maintains, updates, and completes Purchasing reports on a weekly basis.
Maintains vendor pricing list and price book(s).
Assists in maintaining proper documentation.
Controls product in order to meet management standards and departmental goals and objectives.
Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.

Education / Qualifications Must be 21 years of age, or older.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Two years purchasing experience in high volume industry preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
Certificates, licenses and registration Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
